Follower Appreciation Giveaway

Hi everyone!  As the heading shows, I recently hit 102 followers here on my little blog over the weekend, a pretty big milestone and one I'm so grateful for.   I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you visiting me and reading and of course commenting on my blog.   I read all your comments and they are a real pick me up!   You have been so great to me these past few months since I've started blogging and I want you to know how very much I appreciate all of you.

As a thank you for your time, support and for being such great blogger friends to me, I wanted to have a little giveaway - I have 2 Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt charm packs to give to two of you!!




Each charm pack includes 30 6" squares

The rules are pretty simple :-

- Firstly, since this is a Follower Appreciation Giveaway, you MUST be a follower.  Leave a comment letting me know you are.  Don't worry if you're new here, just follow my little blog and let me know that you did.

- For a second entry and just to make things more fun for me to read, please tell me a random fact about yourself.

That's it!   The giveaway is open to readers everywhere in the world!  


Just a reminder though, if you are a no-reply blogger, be sure to leave your e-mail address in your comment so I can get a hold of you.

I'll be using a random number generator to select two winners from all the entries.

Entries close on Tuesday, 13th November, 9.00 am ( Malaysian time ).

    Random. I rode a Harley, co-pilot, every weekend that it didn't rain, and it doesn't rain much in SoCal, for 10 years. Not what you expect from a quilting Grandmother.

    Random fact, huh? I was a Senator in the Student Counsel in College, in a seat elected by the Business school students. Achievements as a Senator = none. Even in college, nothing gets done in government.

    Yay, congrats! I am a gfc follower, random fact: Pre children I once modeled in a bridal fair, last minute because a friend of a friend had her model pull out and I was the only person they knew tall and thin enough to fit into the dresses - I wish that was true now :P After doing it and feeling like a total fool I declared I would never marry because getting in and out of the dresses was the most annoying thing I have ever done. Lucky for the hubs I changed my mind, I did however opt for the simplest dress available.

    Random fact about me -- I shaved my head bald for charity at university and my mother was SO mad at me! Plus is was December in Canada so it was very cold. I kept it like that for a few months then started growing it out. It was so easy to get ready in the mornings!!

    Random fact, on the first day Forst grade I decoded to change my name. I had been called by the nickname Beth my hwhole life and didn't even know I had a different first name. I discovered this from my Grandmother the year before when she taught me how to write my full name. I had a sked to change it at the time, but my mom said it would to be too confusing. She had reasons she didn't want ms to go by my first name and I'm sure she thought I'd forget all about. I probably would have too, but it first grade were desks! And name tags on those desks! My first grade teacher asked the fateful question... "Would anyone like to be called by a different name or nickname?" Oh yes I certainly would. She had known me since I was a toddler and was a bit taken aback when I told her I wanted to be called Caryn. I was insistent, so she went about making me a new name card. She spelled it the usually way, but I knew that wasn't right. Can you just imagine what she was thinking? Here was Beth who she had known for several years and I not only wanted to change my name to Caryn, but I also wasn't quite sure how to spell it. A hilariois call to my mom recounted often a family functions, cleared the whole thing up and I've been Caryn ever since.

    Yikes, you asked for a random fact, but you got a story! That's what happens when I'm on the edge of sleep reading blogs on my phone.

    Two facts I guess. I am a mom to twin 3 year old boys and 1 year old girl, so I am in a constant sleepwalking state. I have a horrible sweet tooth and can consume a whole bag of Werther's Chewy Caramels in a little over a day. I blame it on the sleepwalking.

    Random fact: I am a reader and for years declared that I wanted a book in my hand, not an e-reader! Last Christmas, my son and family gave me a Kindle Fire. Haven't put it down since! Love having so many books with me all the time!

    I'm just learning to quilt this year. I'm learning on my own, if I have questions, I just look it up on the internet. But I have sewn clothing & bags for 6+ years. And Hubby got tired of my old machine (his grandmas) having issues that he got me a new one in January. Love my new machine! :)
